What is dry mouth?

Saliva protects teeth by washing away food and neutralising acid. When saliva drops, teeth are more at risk.

Many, including some antidepressants, blood pressure tablets and antihistamines. Do not stop medicines without talking to your doctor.

Sugar-free gum can stimulate saliva.
